The poured foundation is sitting on a bed of crushed stone to facilitate water movement and the footing is wider than usual with reinforcing bar to add strength as the soil was in my view inconsistant enough to warrant some extra care.

There is the new lower section with the original, almost untouched addition back into place with little of the building disturbed.

We made special metal plates to bolt onto the sills and ridge to pull the house over the three or so inches so it would line up with the new work. It looks like we did alright at this point as there is no evidence of what we did and the house is back onto a secure and proper foundation.
