The Sax Pack is my oldest Sax Quartet, in function since 2001 or so, while growing and developing new members as life moves people to different interests.
We perform annually at the Atkinson Country Clubs Christmas Tree Lighting, Haverhill Christmas Strolland on occasion the Newburyport Invitation Night. Our summer schedule is dotted with church festival's and community band engagement's and we have also played for the annual Republican party Picnic at the Elks in Salem NH for a number of years.
Our music spans many styles from Ragtime, Vaudeville, Marches, Swing, Dixie and modern Rock to the occasional Classical piece. We keep it light and fun mostly and mix recognize standards with novelty pieces that are sure to get your feat tapping.
Our Christmas music is from simply styled staright versions of respected classics to new more modern swing versions that create an atmosphere of jazz styled frivolity that adds to the celebration atmosphere of Christmas.
We hope to expose people to the wonderful sound of the sax quartet and the joy of music in many styles.
Members for 2009 are; Ronald Hoehn (Derry) Greg Lyons (Merrimac), Laurie Pasko (Merimac), and Ron DiCarlo (Danville) and our friend Paul Yankos (Windham) who will sub for Laurie on occasion.
