I've done a number of these retrofits for customers either injured or in need of an eased entrance-way to there homes or businesses.
This one is done in a somewhat temporary style as we floated the 4x4 post on PT plywood and secured only the top end to the house. The frost should move this slightly here and there but the strength of construction should keep it moving together. If need be, we can go back and adjust the pads with a little stone should natures unpredictability harm its being level in anyway.
